Upcoming Partnerships in Flood Risk Mitigation

Strategies for securing funding assistance at the local, state, and federal levels involve more than just tracking grants.gov. This year’s Flood Control Forum will focus on partnerships, which entail a combination of grants, loans, cooperation, and cost-sharing among local agencies, advocacy at the state level, navigating multiple opportunities, and creating a voice in Congress to bring funding to the region at all levels. We are taking a case study approach where each case will be discussed with the panel to highlight the successes and challenges of collaboration for funding and moving the projects forward. If time is available, the panel will also provide feedback to anyone in the audience with questions about forming partnerships.
