AccelerateH20 is the statewide water technology initiative, founded in 2010, focused on facilitating conversations and partnerships that help place Texas as a leading innovator in the global water market. On October 17 and 18th, AccelerateH20 convened their fourth annual InvestH2O Forum on “Investing in Resiliency for Communities and Industries.” They gathered experts in water and technology for two days to host key-note speakers, panels, companies, and even an awards reception.
During the forum, a working group, including WHA and many of its members, was announced to explore a new regional approach for public-private partnerships on advanced preparedness and risk mitigation. The working group includes Houston Community College, University of Houston, The Cannon and Cannon Ventures, City of Houston Water, and the West Houston Association. After the last session of the forum, the first of many working group meetings was held. As the group continues to meet we hope to keep up the collaboration and come out with positive solutions for preparedness & risk mitigation.
