Water Resources Committee Vice-Chair and partner at ABHR, LLP., Alia Vinson, wrote an article on the water utilities performance in the wake of flooding and inundation during Hurricane Harvey. As we know, Hurricane Harvey was unprecedented, but the lessons learned from previous storms helped ensure that out of 2,238 drink water systems in our region only 2 shut down due to the storm. Her article was published in the TWCA’s Newsletter, The Confluence, and in her article, Vinson discussed the need for ongoing policy adjustments to continue to prepare as much as possible for future storms.
