Congratulations go out to WHA’s very own Dr. Zach Hodges!
Houston Community College- Northwest’s President, Dr. Zach Hodges, sits as Vice-Chair of West Houston Association’s Education & Workforce Committee and was recently awarded as one of Newspring’s “Architects of the Future”.
Newspring is a Spring Branch organization focused on helping others create pathways to career and financial opportunity. They and HCC partnered to create a program called The HCC/Newspring Business Plan competition where over 200 teams of entrepreneurs get the opportunity to work with mentors and industry leaders in training exercises to grow their individual businesses. Hodges was awarded as “the Animator” of the 4 architects recognized at the annual Newspring Luncheon. An architect in this context is someone who creates and “shapes a space for others”. Dr. Hodges got this unique title because of “his vision and support [that] empowers others to bring to life ideas and possibilities that change lives and deliver positive economic impact to the community.”
Hodges brings that vision along to the Association whether that’s at the board level or the committee level. WHA is honored to have Dr. Hodges as a part of our organization and congratulate him on this recognition!
